The Flag Today Privacy Policy

Information we collect

The app may process:

• Basic device and app diagnostics provided by Apple or the operating system.
• Notification permission status.
• Local preferences such as appearance and notification settings.
• Cached civic content from The Flag Today’s validated API for offline use.

The Flag Today does not require an account for public reading features.

Information we do not collect

The Flag Today does not sell personal data or collect precise location by default.

At launch, The Flag Today does not use analytics, email capture, advertising pixels, or cross-site tracking.

The Flag Today does not use marketing notifications or access Ari memory, Ari providers, financial data, email data, or calendar data.

Notifications

Civic notifications may include:

• Morning Daily Brief
• Half-staff status notifications
• Emergency proclamation notifications

Users can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.

Offline data and official sources

The app may store validated Today API responses on device so the current article, previous seven days, citations, and proclamation context remain available offline.

Published content may cite official or authoritative sources including the White House, Federal Register, National Archives, Library of Congress, Smithsonian, National Park Service, and Department of Defense.

Data sharing and children

Limited technical data may be processed by Apple and hosting providers as necessary to operate the app and API. The Flag Today does not sell user data.

The Flag Today is for general civic education and is not directed to children under 13.
